Supporting recovery in the workplace: A guide for leaders
Substance use and addiction remain widely misunderstood and often hidden in the workplace. Yet many organisations are already affected whether through employees experiencing challenges themselves or supporting colleagues and loved ones.

Join me for a practical 45-minute webinar with Georges Petitjean, addiction expert and founder of WARM (The Workplace Addiction & Recovery Movement). Georges brings a unique combination of clinical experience, leadership insight, and personal understanding of recovery, helping organisations tackle these issues with confidence and compassion.

Through WARM, Georges equips workplaces with practical tools, evidence-based guidance, and training that encourages open, non-judgmental conversations. Organisations learn to recognise early signs, create psychologically safe spaces, and embed recovery-friendly practices that truly support employees.

Together, we will explore how leaders can better understand, recognise, and champion recovery at work.

The session will cover:
  • The difference between substance use, substance use disorder and addiction
  • The prevalence of substance use challenges in the workforce
  • Recognising the signs of addiction including amongst employees
  • The impact of stigma and why it remains the biggest barrier to seeking help
  • How organisations can create a supportive and psychologically safe culture
  • Practical resources and support options for employees and their families

The session will also introduce the WARM 2026 pilot and how organisations can get involved as founding members.

This session is designed for leaders, HR professionals and anyone passionate about creating healthier, more supportive workplaces.
